Good news, bad news 2
In my last post, I talked about two proverbs that can apply to the Tampa real estate market. Today, I’ve got another one: “One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.”
People often buy properties as an investment to rent out – we get people contacting us regularly about real estate for this purpose in the Tampa Bay area. And this is an investment that can pay of well – when things go right. Unfortunately, however, things don’t always go right. Sometimes, you can get landed with the tenant(s) from hell who ends up trashing your investment property and leaving it a real mess. I’ve seen some shockers.
After the slobby vandals have been evicted (and about time, too!), owners can often feel like selling the property off cheaply and starting over. Which means that the property is often listed pretty cheaply. However, often all that is wrong with these places is a bit of mess, which is easily straightened out with a bit of old-fashioned elbow grease. And after that’s done, the tidied-up property is usually pretty decent – a real treasure. And if you’re a DIY enthusiast, then these properties offer a challenge that is very satisfying to take on.
We get this type of Tampa property through our lists from time to time at Bahia Real Estate. If you are looking for a bargain or for a DIY challenge, then contact us to see what we can find for you in our wonderful area.
