Choosing a Tampa Real Estate Agent

A real estate agent is the intermediary between buyers and sellers of real estate.  It’s important that your real estate agent is more than just a sales person.  You should be able to have faith in your real estate agent.

He/she should know the market comprehensively, provide you information on current listings that are comparable, and previous sales, know something about the neighborhood, development, or other points of interest you should know about.  For example, there’s an elementary school two blocks away, or the bus stops at the corner.

If you are new to Tampa Bay, your agent should be able to tell you a little about the community.  The population, what facilities the community has, and even types of job opportunities.

You are putting a lot of trust in your real estate agent. They are representing you and therefore you should be confident that they will help you get the best deal and that they will be honest and forthright with information even if they may not be required to do so by law.

You want a real estate agent that has been in the business for some time and brings experience to the table.  You should also check the agent’s references, and of course, they should be licensed.

When you choose a real estate agent that understands the needs of both buyers and sellers you can feel confident that everyone will walk away happy!
